I go to sleep bloggin in my mind.

I did totally want to delve into Jon and Kate. I don't know that I will ever have the time with the kids home from school but I will try quickly.
its the swath of hair that CONSTANTLY hangs in her face that drives me crazy.
Hair in peoples' faces makes me generally insane. Add to that the hair flip to get it out their eyes and I start daydreaming of attacking them with scissors.

The frugal tightwad in me is appalled that they have a "HUGE MORTGAGE" as Kate says in People magazine. I understand them wanting to get to the country but they could have been more modest than a 1.1 million dollar home. It was all I could think about when I watched the episode and she said I will keep going no matter what - well for one she has to keep doing the show because someone needs to pay the huge mortgage and since neither of them are working. - well besides book tours and raising your kids in front of the cameras. The show literally must go on... Unless she gets her talk show that they say she wants. I hope she gets it so I can actively not watch it.

Speaking of those cameras - I watched innocently enough at first - but seeing the tabloid pics of how big the cameras crews are that hover around each kid - really made me re-think this whole "reality" business. And finding out that they film 40 weeks out of every year made me think even worse about Jon and Kate if that was possible. Poor kids. Sometimes I wonder if our kids will be embarrassed about all the blogging we do. At least we didn't rake in millions of viewers ...

On to Jon - I don't think I am in a Jon camp or a Kate camp - I do dislike Kate more - I can't imagine spending one day with her much less being married to her. But I was very disappointed in Jon - for one he never said that part of their problem may be related to how little respect she showed him - I thought that needed to be said. Instead he came across as some sad guy trying to act like he was still in college. Driving up to the kids party in the sports car just made him look stupid. And defending himself that he absolutely did not cheat was ridiculous. Personally as a wife I would be more upset by that than actually cheating. So we are just going to assume you were just hanging out with a twenty year old girl alone in her house. You better have had sex with her - because you put everything on the line by being there - claiming you didn't have sex just makes you look dumb. And for the record Jon its not just about sex - its the fact that the two of you can't be around each other and you chose to party instead of being at home with your family.

And I was speechless that they think the kids are not being affected (at least not yet) - what parents could think that never being around each other is not going to affect the kids. You think they won't notice mom and dad are never around each other. But wait they said they live for their kids and do everything for their kids over and over again - so I guess its ok.

The bottom line though is that I don't think the show is really interesting anymore except for their drama. It was interesting to watch a mom wrangle 6 two year olds. But 6 five year olds. - Lots of us have managed that - its called preschool or a primary class. And we are not naive enough to not realize how many people are in the background helping out.

One other side note - I thought it was interested to see once again that no family was at the kids birthday party and neither were there any friends from previous birthday parties. They say Kate pushes away friends who don't serve any immediate purpose for her. You know kind of like she insulted every fan during the episode. And I like how she acts repulsed by the people at the book signings. - I left the episode wondering the most about those people.

Why in the crap would you wait in line to meet her??

Have you heard the state of Pennsylvania is investigating the show in regards to child labor laws.

They didn't comment on Aunt Jodi and Uncle Kevin's interviews against them.
I suppose her repeated comment that "I have a lot of anger" is supposed to cover that too.

YOu crack me up! I love it:) I agree with almost EVERYTHING you have said! The main thing is I think it is all damaging the kids and they need to stop after this season. And I am with you....in the beginning it was interesting b/c we could relate to her....they had no money and no help in the beginning. But now they are just like movie stars and they act COMPLETELY different!

I never watched the show in the beginning. I've now see a total of like 30 minutes of their lives. And I want to preface by saying that I look for the good in people ... the bad actually takes a long time for me to see.

Having said that ... these two parents have got to be the most immature parents ever. In every aspect. Becoming a parent is supposed to break you of any selfishness ... and I think it's only made them more selfish. Blah.
