There aren't enough pictures of Benjamin

on the blog. Because he:
1. doesn't like his picture being taken
2. doesn't like shirts

This is the story of two dresses. It's a short story. Sarah gave my Mommy two delicious antique dresses to choose one for my blessing. Mommy chose one. The other sat in the closet and she loved it. She thought I couldn't wear it because everyone would inadvertently think it was my blessing. Then one Sunday she decided hey, it doesn't really matter.
So today I am wearing all white - I look beautiful despite the bumps on my face. Mommy put a black bow in my hair just to balance things out. OH and by the way I have cute fat thighs with scrumptious rolls.

When you have a good day...

You should say you had a good day.
It makes the hard ones seem not so bad.
I can't say how much I love this baby (all my babies actually). You know why? Because they haven't invented the words.
Other reasons it was a good day:
Kyle did an awesome art project with Ella (pictures at a later date) and he hung my FHE Board, and he set up the crib !!
Benjamin and I decoupaged his new nightstand. I am jealous, if it was age appropriate I'd do mine too. Final pictures also to follow at a later date.

The girls played with each other for a long time without fighting. I say that truly does make them super heroes!
PS. My angelic baby has the worst case of baby acne I have ever seen. Any ideas/suggestions? My best friend Ingrid
may be on her way here outrunning Gustav - I can't let her meet my baby for the first time with a face full of blemishes!

Because I couldn't stop laughing

Astronaut Suspects NASA Using Him To Test Spaces Effects On Fat People

Hello First and Third Grade!

They are growing up so fast.

Mom at the bus stop with two cameras. When will this start embarrassing them?
I am so glad they are friends!
More friends!
If you listen real carefully you can hear my heart breaking in this video. Benjamin is too cool for school he sat on the other side of the bus! I am embarrassed to say that I am an idiot and filmed them getting on the bus with the camera vertical so the video is sideways - so I feel too silly to post that one!

Random thoughts, two hands, and a couple of minutes

I do still blog, its just in my head nowadays. I don't usually have the time and two hands available. Let see...Cora is a wonderful baby. So good that I think I am getting more sleep than most of my friends with little ones. She is so good in fact that the hardest part is she lets me get to really deep sleep right before she needs me. So many nights, in fact every night I do a round of Sudoku in my book upstairs to make sure she is fast asleep after nursing so I don't' doze off when she needs me. I feel quite silly playing sudoku when I should be sleeping myself but I swear its easier than waking myself back up. If I had a laptop I'd probably blog! More random thoughts about Cora: She has stork bites on the back of her neck just like the other kiddos, just took me longer to really notice that its a pretty big area. I know that they will fade (just like the one Ella had on her eyelid) and now I find myself staring at it - Another area of newborn-ness that will go away with time. She also gets sucking blisters - its a little bubble on her top lip that comes and goes day by day. The doctor labeled her perfectly when he called her an aggressive nurser! If I was really on top of things I'd have pictures of these things to include in the post. The kids are so amazing with her and helping me that I can honestly say I am a little sad to see school starting. Who will separate clothes into whites and darks when I throw them down the stairs? Who will hold Cora when I just want to eat my lunch? Who will pour Maiya some cereal when I can't get out of bed until 9:00? Who will bug me non-stop while I am nursing Cora, and sitting on the toilet? Man I'll miss those two older kids!!! Speaking of the two. Benjamin has met his Bobcat requirements for scouts. And I am getting myself ready for my new calling as Assistant Wolf leader!! Woo-hoo cool yellow shirt and all! Last story... Tonight I came down telling Kyle that I found a hole in Cora's brand new pajamas. And we get interrupted by a tearful Ella - "hey guys I have to say something... breaks into full sobs... I cut off the tags and I made that hole... barely able to speak now... I am SO SO SORRY - full snotty crying.. at this point... WILL YOU FORGIVE ME? " How sweet -- she is such a good kid. Moved to confession when I would have never known it was her!

Thanks Aunt Beth for the threads!!

Hope in the blogosphere

Its funny how deeply you can feel for people in the blogging world that you have never met. Fear with JJ who's son was recently diagnosed with cancer. Thrilling joy with Practically perfect who just gave birth to a baby boy. And now sadness with NieNie and her family as they face a long journey. Stephanie and her husband were in a plane crash and are now healing from very serious burns. We released balloons with well wishes tonight in their honor.

What Your Bed Says About You

Outward appearances are a concern of yours, but not your primary concern. You try to take care of yourself and your home, but it's not an obsession.

You try to be an organized person, but you often fall behind. Certain parts of your life tend to fall into chaos.

You are not very high maintenance in general, but you are high maintenance about a few things.

In relationships, you tend to kick back and let the other person be in charge.

You tend to be a dreamy, head in the clouds type of person. You think in terms of possibilities.

You are a total homebody. You are happiest when you're at home.

Photo Shoot

I took pictures yesterday of the sweetest little baby!
Check it out at Misty's blog!!

I am working on creating a blog devoted just to my photography. But on top of my inherent inability to choose a business name and a font for my copyright marker, blogger has flagged my blog as spam and I have to wait for it to be reviewed to use it again. So frustrating following your dreams sometimes...

Woo-hoo!

I just had 7 hours of uninterrupted sleep! Can I just say how wonderful - except for the panic attack I had when I woke up and realized how long she was sleeping! Now I need to go pump because I am over-full!

A name and a blessing and a hundred pictures...

He took them up in his arms, put his hands upon them, and blessed them.

How cool is that...

I kind of have a thing for Angelina Jolie - always have. I just think she is so cool and beautiful - so I thought it was so awesome that we gave birth on the same day! Then today I finally got a copy of the people magazine with a pic of her cute babies and I saw it... white spots on Vivienne's tongue - yep Angelina and I are both dealing with thrush at the same time. I feel so connected, in a stalker kind of way. Maybe I should give her a call and give her some tips. I am a dork.........
If you can't see it here, check it out at the store checkout line - its definitely thrush!
