It was a process...
This is about curly hair, but really what she says can be about so, so much more.
It's ironic that those with curly hair can think it's ugly and hate it. Then you've got those of us with perfectly straight hair who have to curl it ourselves/spend big $$ on having it curled (for a day or even spiral permed) etc. who think natural curls are down right gorgeous.
what I always say to straight hair folks, is you have a little bit more of a choice, you can more readily curl a hair than straighten a curl - but yes its a little bit of the "grass is greener on the other side" effect. Now that I know how to fight frizz better (no shampoo) I LOVE my curls and cringe when I hear people say they use their flat iron daily.
